United Airlines Cancellation Policy due to Covid-19

• You can modify the ticket for free if you have issued standard economy and cabin bookings from April 1, 2020 ,to May 31, 2021.

• The airline will waive off the change fee for economy tickets purchased within April 30, 2021. 

• Flyers can refer to the third party if they have purchased the tickets from other than official sources. 

• All customers have 24 hours to cancel their flight tickets without paying the penalty. Simultaneously, they can request a full refund via phone call or site. 

• Suppose your flight is canceled by the airline, you have three options -

i) Cancel a flight booking for free and claim a refund of the canceled flights

ii) Book an alternate flight on the same day of the flight cancellation

iii) You can postpone your trip and receive a travel credit which you can receive a travel credit

Spirit Airlines Cancellation Policy

As per the Spirit Airlines cancellation policy, flyers can cancel a flight within 24 hours of the booking for free. However, if you cancel your ticket last minute on the departure day, the airline will charge the flight cancellation fee. 

• When Spirit Airlines cancels the ticket, no penalty shall apply.

• They also offer free accommodation to the flyers on canceling a booking on the departure date. 

• If you cancel a non-refundable ticket, you have to pay the additional charges. The airline will transfer the remaining amount in the form of travel credit for your future trips. 

• According to the Spirit Airlines Cancellation policy, no cancellation fees shall apply if you cancel a ticket for the following reasons. 

      i) Death

     ii) Serious illness

     iii) Theft of passport

     iv) Government orders

     v) Court or Military orders 

• The flight cancellation fee is 90 USD, but you save it by canceling the ticket within the grace period. For offline cancellation, the price is 100 USD. 

• Flyer holding an award ticket does not have to pay the penalty for canceling a ticket within 24 hours of the booking. After the grace period, the airline will charge 110 USD and transfer the ticket value to the wallet for upcoming trips.
